Tiffany will be taking the stage at the Edmonton Fall Home Show, October 20-22, 2017. She recently transformed her own out of date bathroom into her heavenly retreat and shares some thoughts on how you too can achieve the perfect sanctuary.
Don’t be afraid to get colourful!
Get playful, mix detailed patterns and colours to make the room feel really special. This also gives the room the illusion of no boundaries, making the space feel larger. A lively, whimsical wallpaper or bright, bold floor tiles are great ways to incorporate this philosophy into your own bathroom design.
Give the illusion of space and add sophistication to your bathroom by using a floating vanity. To increase the upscale feel to your space, and if you can afford to do so, invest in a custom vanity that will fit perfectly while maximizing storage.
Elevate Your Space
Add a touch of glamour and drama to your bathroom while creating visual interest with beautiful minimalistic fixtures. This will distract from the size of a smaller room and provide an attractive contrast to the bright patterns and colours featured throughout the room. Stick to minimal lines and sophisticated matte finishes and be sure to match all your fixtures.
Do It Yourself Art
Try your hand at DIY wall art to add design flair into a small space. Tiffany framed a gift-shop bag she received during a visit to the Madonna Inn in California, which she says proves art doesn’t have to be fancy to work perfectly in a space visually.
